My working method

I am a psychological psychotherapist, licensed in psychoanalysis (DPG) and depth psychological therapy.

These treatments, neurologically proven to be effective, can help with many psychological problems and disorders. Emotional injuries and traumas prevent us from reaching our full potential and enjoying our lives to the fullest. The causes are usually rooted in the past and they are often unconscious.

The goal is to explore and work on these deep unconscious backgrounds in order to facilitate long-term changes. I work with my patients to understand and change their thoughts, feelings and behaviors in order to solve their problems and improve their quality of life.

Getting to know each other

After contact has been initiated, an introductory meeting is arranged. If the initial meeting feels coherent, 4 probationary hours are arranged. These probationary hours serve to explore the patient's anamnesis, to discuss the framework of the therapy and to look more closely at any doubts that may arise. After the probationary hours, the therapy begins.

Therapy

During the probationary hours, patients are introduced to my therapeutic approach. After my professional assessment, the choice of therapy method is made in a joint dialogue, taking into account the patient's life circumstances. As a rule, this is 300 hours of psychoanalysis, 140 hours of depth psychological psychotherapy or 24 hours of acute therapy.

Psychoanalysis

Psychoanalysis is the name given to a method of cognition, a theory of the origin and effects of unconscious psychological processes and a therapeutic procedure, which goes back to Sigmund Freud (1856 - 1939). (Encyclopaedia of Psychology)

Depth Psychological Psychotherapy

Depth psychology-based psychotherapy, in contrast to psychoanalysis, is limited in time. Therefore, the therapist focuses on the main conflicts that are bothering the patient. Even though conflicts from childhood are explored, the focus always goes back to the here and now.

Acute therapy

Acute psychotherapeutic treatment is used for crisis intervention. It is intended to bring about a rapid improvement in acute mental crises and stabilise the patient.

"In order to correct severe relationship problems with oneself or one's environment, a new healthy relationship is needed. Therefore, the relationship between therapist and patient is essential."
